Course Overview

Cannabis drying and curing has always been a bit of a mysterious art, but in today’s commercial production environment where there are often millions of dollars on the line so we can’t afford to do things haphazardly without any scientific data to justify our actions.

The purpose of this course is to dispel that mystery and replace it with a new understanding of a science based process.

Course objectives:

  1. To share concepts and techniques of modern cannabis DRYING that will achieve the greatest possible profit by controlling moisture loss in a very precise manner. You’ll learn how to perform two types of drying schedules; one sets you up for faster sales, while the other sets you up for a long curing process.
  2. To create a broad depth of comprehension about how CURING works and how you can control the curing environment in a way that will allow the maximum curing effects to take place, while avoiding the potential negative effects.

Course Modules:

  1. Enzymes & Terpenes
  2. Water Activity
  3. Drying
  4. Curing
  5. Bulk Drying for Megafarms
  6. Drying Room Hanging Strategies
  7. Packaging
  8. Final Project

Each module has a video segment and a quiz that tests student comprehension of all the major concepts presented.

By the time you watch the video several times, take thorough notes, then take the quiz, the total time investment per module should be roughly 2 hours. A new module is released each week. This slow pace encourages you to spend plenty of time studying each module before you take the quiz, and it allows you to complete the course in your spare time without having to quit your job or give up the rest of your life.

The Final Project:

This is a detailed project that takes everything you’ve learned through the course and puts it all together in the creation of a model working drying room complete with a budget, full building plans, and written SOP documents that can teach employees how to run the entire process from cutting the plants to the end of drying.

You can view the assignment page for the Final Project here before you purchase the course.  Be sure to check it out.

What does every Post Harvest department need?

Commercial facilities need drying and curing to be an exact and measurable science. In this course you’ll learn the different types of moisture measurement and you’ll see how easy it can be to build an exact system to measure and track the moisture levels to make your crop dry down at just the right rate to meet legal requirements, maintain weight and cure the product exactly the way you want it.

Are you curious to know what’s the best way to measure product moisture levels?

Did you know that roughly 90% of all cannabis found in dispensaries, is over 10% too dry!

Those farms unknowingly EVAPORATED 10% of their annual income!

In addition to losing money, overdrying your product also drastically speeds up terpene evaporation, decreasing your medicinal value, and making your product less appealing to customers.

Are you still snapping twigs?

Commercial farms can’t afford that level of inaccuracy with a crop that might be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

This course will give you the tools and understanding to build a drying/curing strategy based on real scientific evidence and measurement devices that can be easily calibrated for accuracy.

Are you curious to find out what actually happens in the curing process?

Why should you cure?

What’s the benefit of curing?

Should I do a dry for 7 days, or 14, and what’s the difference?

What temp/humidity parameters are used and why are they so specific?

What gasses are important to curing?

What business model fits with curing?

Is curing worth the money?

Can curing fit into my workflow?

How do I set up a space to cure the product?

What tools do I need to control the environment?

Will curing increase my profits enough to offset the additional labor costs?
